I imagine that I can hear my great-great-great grandfather telling his children.
"The White Man is taking our country from us. Marry with these people, preserve
our heritage, and when the time is right, take the country back." This is really
what is happening. If your ancestors have been in this country more than 100
years, it is highly likely that you have Native American blood running in your veins.
" You can never be part Indian. You are or you are not. It is, not the quantity of
Indian blood that runs through your veins that is important, but the quality of it.....
your pride in being. I have seen full-bloods who care very little for their people and
their ancestors, yet I have seen people with as little as 1/50th. blood quantum who
inspire nations. They are truly proud of their people and ancestors. Embrace these
brothers and sisters who care so much. They are our life and future."

Defines what it is to be a "Wannabe"
The Facts
The facts over the term wannabe:
Please be prepared as I break this down for you.
When I here some one call me a wannabe, I take it as a badge of pride. Being a descendant of Native Americans who felt that they couldn't leave their homelands where their father's died no matter what. I take honor in this. I take honor in wanting to regain what had to be hidden from me throughout my child hood so some one wouldn't round me up with other's of my family and toss me somewhere so they could dictate to me how I should live. I take honor in the fact that me not being documented by the Government, I don't get handouts... I work for what little I have, I support my elders, family, and strangers around me when they need my help.
I do not side with a government that says I can't be a Native American because I don't have "required amount of blood".
WE ALL BLEED RED!!!
Now, let me apologize for all those descended from the great ones that fought as hard as they could against the round up. This is not including them, or the ones that still fight today.
This is for the ones that think they are something else. They are NO better than any one of us.
When you call someone a wannabe, you disgrace yourself, and all those before you.
The Great Spirit says we are all brothers and sisters. And yet some dis-honor him by denying each other.
Black, white, red, yellow, we are all brothers and sisters...in my book.
So yes, please call me a wannabe, I shall wear it with pride. Where as you will only look like a fool, to anyone who takes the time to think things through.
Bear this in mind. With the Government's Blood Quantum Regulation... The Genocide continues... and you who approve of the rez, and everything that it brings you, have signed up with the government saying "it's ok, let's keep it up. Not like it's really hurting anyone." While the rest of us. The supposed undocumented "Wannabe's" will live on, passing down what we can,and you will have long been forgotten... in just a few generations.
We are all sorry to see you go, But we did try to warn you.
Now, with that being said, you have the option to join us.

Welcome to Our Nation .
I want to thank you for taking the time to fill out this application and joining your Brothers and Sisters.
Our mission has been to establish tribal rights in our membership organization.
Most Native people who do not belong to a tribe or cannot get on closed Federal
Government rolls or are left to fend for themselves. Because of political policy within the
tribes themselves it is difficult for those not born on the reservation or who have left their
tribal homelands to get established back into any tribal organizations. By filling out the
following paperwork you are establishing that right to be recognized as an American
Indian within the United States and Canada.
Once called “ The Break-Away People”
Our Family here, in The South Eastern Chickamauga Nation will accept anyone with
“the Native Heart” , “Native Soul” , Those that choose to live the “Native Way”
While this is who we are... please keep in mind, that there will be those members who can
provide the DNA, or the genealogical proof to become federally recognized in the future.
These members will be “card carriers”. Only meaning that the Federal Government will back
them, while the others, still members within us. Will have cards, just not the federal backing.
This ID Card remains the property of the South Eastern Chickamauga Nation at all times
and is protected under the following Acts:
• The American Indian Religious Freedom Act of 1978.
